Educational quick checks
CivilKit provides calculators, reference notes, and worked explanations for educational and preliminary use. A result is not a structural design, construction instruction, professional opinion, certification, code-compliance statement, or approval for a real project.
Your professional responsibility
You are responsible for selecting appropriate inputs, checking units, understanding the model and assumptions, interpreting results, applying the governing standards and project requirements, and obtaining review by a suitably qualified professional where required.
Limits of simplified models
Engineering outcomes depend on loading, combinations, boundary conditions, geometry, material behaviour, ground conditions, durability, detailing, construction sequence, national parameters, and other project-specific factors. CivilKit tools intentionally simplify many of these matters and may not cover the governing case.
No warranty
The site is provided on an “as available” basis. CivilKit aims to publish clear formulas and verification examples but does not warrant that any content is error-free, complete, continuously available, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CivilKit is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on a calculator, reference note, external link, advertisement, interruption, or error. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
External links and advertising
Links and advertisements may lead to third-party services. Their inclusion does not mean CivilKit approves a product for engineering use. Review the provider, specification, suitability, and terms independently.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, bypass security controls, scrape it in a way that degrades service, or present CivilKit output as professional certification.
Corrections and changes
Tools, reference content, and these terms may change as formulas, examples, services, and legal requirements evolve. Re-check important results against current authoritative sources. Report a suspected error to hello@civilkits.com.
