What this beam check tells you.

The load case combines a full-span uniformly distributed load with one point load at midspan. The output gives the classic first-pass actions and serviceability movement for the idealised beam.

Governing equations

Mmax = wL²/8 + PL/4. Vmax = wL/2 + P/2. For constant elastic properties, δmid = 5wL⁴/(384EI) + PL³/(48EI).
