Separate geometry from ordering.
Geometric volume is the clean mathematical quantity. The order quantity is that volume multiplied by one plus the selected allowance. Keeping those two values separate makes the estimate more useful on site.
Governing equations
V = length × width × thickness. Vorder = V × (1 + allowance). The displayed approximate mass uses a planning density of 2,400 kg/m³.
Use supplier and site information for procurement.
- Confirm irregular edges, falls, penetrations, blinding, thickening, and construction joints.
- Confirm the supplier’s batching, minimum load, pump line, access, and washout requirements.
- Do not treat the approximate mass as a mix design, strength, or durability statement.
